THE SYSTEMS & STRUCTURES OF NATURE ARE MY INSPIRATION
A walk through the woods or on the coastline can be an
experience of physical realignment and regeneration.
The paintings were created to evoke the visual experience of a "moment"
in the natural world and to encourage the recognition of interconnections that exist.
The chaotic interactions and intricacies of plants and trees within a
the landscape reveal an underlying complex organic structure
that is logical but not orderly in a geometric way.
The collages were created to reorganize
natural imagery to either show a shift in time or place
or to express more complex ideas.
The mixed-media sculptural works are an exploration in
reusing what has been marginalized or discarded to create
more provocative works that tells a story or to reflect
some narrative of a time, place or a person.
